Absolutely not. In fact, I generally only perform one wedding a weekend. I put so much into my wedding ceremonies, and I will always ensure that I am absolutely 100% present and invested in your wedding day (and yours only!)

No, I’m not religious. If you want to include religion in your ceremony, I’m not opposed to this at all, and I have ideas about how you can include some religious aspects in your civil ceremony.

This is such an important question to ask your celebrant! I have never missed a wedding, and I don’t ever plan on it! But in the event of something completely out of my control happening (like severe sickness or a car accident or some other horrible thing preventing me from attending), I have a wonderful connection of celebrants to call on, all along the East Coast. I will also discuss a worst case back-up plan with you, so you know exactly what will happen in the EXTREMELY unlikely event that I cannot attend your wedding day at short notice.

This is completely up to you, and if you’d like it to be a surprise, then great!

But my usual style is to write the ceremony with your input every step along the way, you will see my drafts and the tone of my writing, and have the opportunity to provide your input.

This way you know exactly what I’m going to say and how your ceremony is going to flow. (I can’t imagine anything more cringeworthy than hearing your story told incorrectly during your ceremony, or the celebrant cracking jokes that just don’t land!)

My couples have told me that they feel really relaxed and present during their wedding ceremony because they know how their love story will be told, where they should stand and what’s going to happen, so they can be entirely in the moment!
